Safeguarding Children policies & codes of conduct 2 of 3

2. Safer Recruitment and Training

Safer Recruitment at HUYFC
Safer recruitment is a set of practices to help make sure our volunteers are suitable to work with children and young people. It's a vital part of creating a safe and positive environment and making a commitment to keep children safe from harm.

At Harefield United Youth we fully support the FAs Safer Recruitment policy.

All our volunteers are firstly required to complete a Volunteer application form (see form further below). Once we receive this form, we send the enhanced FA DBS application online form and any mandatory training links to the volunteer for completion.
Volunteer forms should be returned to: harefieldunitedyouth@hotmail.com

Volunteers are not permitted to help in any way until the DBS returns clear and mandatory training is completed. Team managers must wait for a Club welfare officer to confirm the new volunteer is clear to assist.

All our volunteers must complete regular FA Safeguarding Children training and each team will have a minimum of one Level 1 and FA First Aid trained coach.

If you have any concerns about any of our club staff, please contact harefieldunitedyouth@hotmail.com

Parents Safeguarding Children Awareness Training
The Safeguarding for parents and carers online course
will give you the tools and information to recognise what should be in place to support your child to have a positive football experience in their club or football setting, as well as how to identify and report any concerns about poor practice or abuse.
