HARE'S FIGHT BACK COMPLETE AS GARY JAMES SCORES WINNER

The match started with both sides having a fair share of the play until the 20th minute when Hayes Lawrie Shennan headed home to open the scoring. The Hare’s fought back from this set back but 5 minutes later a long clearance from inside the visitors half sailed over the Red’s centre backs and Andrew Harewood raced clear to put the Hayes 2 up.
The Hare’s pressed forward after this and pulled a goal back in the 30th minute when Mark Sargeant scored from inside the penalty area after good attacking move.
The Red’s were bolstered by the goal and continued to attack and just before the half time break they deservedly equalised when Alden Trenholme received the ball near the left hand corner and he ran along the by line and hit the ball into the 6 yard area and it struck a Hayes player and deflected into the goal.
The Hare’s started the game after the break in the same manner as they finished the 1st half and they had the better of the possession and created several chances without scoring, but with 15 minutes of full time remaining Gary James out fought a challenge from a Hayes defender and he drove into the box and slotted the ball home for the winning goal.
All the players performed well after conceding 2 early goals and they should be delighted with an excellent win over higher league opposition.
