HAREFIELD UTD ARE LOOKING FOR PLAYERS TO PLAY IN THE ALLIED COUNTIES FLOODLIT MIDWEEK LEAGUE IN THE PREMIER DIVISION.

We are looking for talented players to join Harefield United Football Club’s Allied Counties Under 18s Squad.

Once again we will be running trials and training for Harefield Utd U18s midweek side in preparation for the 2017/2018 Allied Counties Floodlit Youth League season.

Harefield United Allied (U18’s) focus is to develop youth players and progress them into Semi Professional Football, and in some cases Professional Football. Charlie Goode of Scunthorpe United FC represented Harefield United FC at Allied Counties prior to his move to the Ryman Premier League and then onto the Football League with Scunthorpe United.

Over the past two years the current Harefield United U18s Coaching Team has managed to progress the following players into both the Reserves & the First Team at Harefield Utd. George O’Malley, Rob Ratcliffe, Henry Clarkson, Samuel Shaw, Blaise Riley-Snow, Harry McCorkell, Zac Jackson, Sam Hills, Jake Flynn, Dylan Wells, Charlie Arnett, Thomas Schlachter and Lenny Farhall. Blaise Riley-Snow and George O’Malley both played for the Reserves in the recent Middlesex Intermediate Cup Final win with Charlie Arnett being named on the bench and Thomas Schlachter playing a part in the Semi- Final win.

George O’Malley, while representing Harefield United during the 2015/16 & 2016/17 seasons he also represented the England Schoolboys and was named Team Captain for both seasons. Lenny Farhall was Top Goal Scorer in the Allied Counties League for both 2015/16 & 2016/17 seasons with a total of 68 goals across both seasons. This goal scoring feat meant Lenny broke the previous goal scoring record of 57 goals across two seasons. Harefield Utd First Team Manager Jason Shaw is enthusiastic about the latest achievements of the Allied Counties Management Team and the development of youth players at Harefield Utd. We have made real progress over the last few seasons with the development of our setup for young players in the club. The objective is to continue to attract local talented players, and providing a pathway to the Reserves and 1st Team for our own youth section players.

The Senior Management all share the philosophy of finding and developing young players and teaching them the game at the senior level.

The steps through the levels for a young player are demanding as the game be-comes quicker and more physical, and they have to develop a mental strength to compete that often belies their years. Our aim is to produce talented young players for Harefield Utd year on year.
