A fixture originally scheduled to be at Preston Park, took place last night, as the Hares travelled to Wallingford & Crowmarsh in the League Cup Quarter Final.
The Hares started fast and put early pressure on Wallingford, seeing the home keeper sent off and new boy Colin Mugoya-Tabingwa score within the opening 6 minutes!
Wallingford equalised shortly after on the break and looked just as comfortable with 10 men as opposed to 11.
The Hares were reduced to 9 men before full time as Jake Sobalak and Pierce McNamara both saw red in the final 20 minutes of the match!
Montel Brown had a late chance to win the tie for the Hares, but unfortunately saw his penalty saved by the stand in keeper, and his rebound fly over the bar.
The penalty heroics didn't end there for the stand in keeper, who saved 3 more penalties in the shootout, to trump Jacob Ballheimer's 2 saves!
Wallingford won the shootout 4-3 and progress to the semi-final.
