We travel to Evesham United this Sunday in the next round of the FA Cup. We will be looking to build on our 3-0 win against Lydney Town in the last round. Our opposition was founded in 1945 and played in regional leagues until 2002. Last year Evesham finished 4th in the Southern League division 1 south. In the seasons before this, they have finished 5th, 6th and 2nd but lost in all 3 seasons in the playoffs. Evesham will be looking to emulate the 2014-2015 season when they managed to get to the 4th qualifying round before losing to Bromley. The club has only played 2 fixtures this season, drawing 1-1 on the opening day of the season before losing to Larkhall Athletic this midweek.
Evesham currently plays at the Spiers & Hartwell Jubilee Stadium in Evesham, having moved there in 2012. They previously played at Common road from 1969 to 2006 before the stadium was sold for housing.
Carl Abbot is the current manager of Evesham having been appointed manager this summer. He has previously been the manager of Quorn and Market Drayton Town amongst others. Carl replaces Paul Collicutt who had been in charge for 5 and a half seasons.
