Weds nights game
U18 Wembley 1-1 Harefield United
Harefield played their first league match of the season away against Wembley which was a tough opening fixture. After a pretty even start Wembley took the lead around the 38th minute which was a little against the run of play at that time.
Harefield replied almost immediately when they played out from joe Pinnock at the back to Jack O’maily who exchanged passes with Max wild, Jack continued his run down the right and delivered a great cross for Hekmat to come racing into the box to make it 1-1.
Harefield starting to get on top of the game from that point but could not score another goal their play deserved before half time.
At Half time it was great to see Ryan Warrton and Richard Paquette from the first team senior players give the boys a few tips and a pep talk in the changing room before Angus, Tony and myself got into the changing room to give our team talk.
The second half started off much better with Harefield being on the front foot creating numerous chances to make it 1-2 but could not kill the game off it ended up 1-1 final score.
A positive start and the boys worked extremely hard for that point, Lots of things to work on but good to have a point on the board for the Frist league game of the season
